Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
That twin turbo motor is a sweet idea. Then do the jdm body kit. Those look nice. Awd would be sick too but you would have to get a whole rear end? I guess. Where's tkr. He would know. Well good luck with your car. And yea like Hughes said most of the people here are go fast and no show. That is if have these cars run! Lol.

3.1L v6 power...

Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
If you are going to swap to the 2.5TT then do it. It cost way more money to make the 3.0 ready for a turbo. If you want to know the engine code for the 2.5TT its 6A13TT Really get rid of that engine in there. And be one of the first to do this kinda swap. Good luck man.

Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
hey im gonna look into the engine swap, that engine was built to power all 4wheels i might get more to the fwd drivetrain, but if i was to swap the engine drive train and body i might as well just buy the jdm galant, but the engine swap looks enticing

I'm betting that not many people here are even remotely aware of this "lip kit" you speak of. Also, how do you plan on fitting parts designed for an Integra onto your Galant?

Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
Its not worth it to modify the SOHC 6g72, i use to own an 00 eclipse GT and it was a bitch to do anything on it and after market is really pricey. PLUS its still FWD! And yours is an automatic!
You should either pony up the cash for the motor/driveline swap or say fuck it and leave the car alone and buy a good platform to build on.
Oh and talking about Evo's like that...people have been shot for less 'round these parts.
oh and body kits are GAY!
Here is links to where you should be looking if your keeping your motor and going FI:

LOL
ive known about the lip kit for a couple years. thats cause i drive a galant. there hasnt been any lip kits made exclusively for the 8G (my body style) USDM galant. a few guys in cali a couple years ago tried out a ton of lips, and the 99-00 teggy lip is the best fit. it does take some modification, but you can do it.
imo, it doesnt look right regardless.

Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
The lip looks alright, but makes the car look kinda incomplete. The rear bumper needs something to balance it out a little more.

Re: Project 01' Galant Es V6
what company made the hood? did you do some research about fitment? there are a couple of companies that made cf hoods for galants, but the fitment sucks donkey balls.
