tell me about it, i just lost my job due to budget cuts because the place i worked for is tring to save every dime they can and so are all the companies we deal with.

Lets just go back to domestic cars that get 10 mpg. I have had my eye on a near mint 1979 Lincoln Mark V that can get upwards of 7 mpg on the freeway. If they still made cars like that, I am sure the domestic automakers would be doing much better nowdays.

Tom, you do know we are in this recession because CLINTON made it easier for people to get home loans. He thought it was a good idea to let people that couldn't afford homes, to buy them anyway.

And where are all the terrorists in Gitmo going to go? One guy that was released, has already joined Al Queda. Nice.

Are you kidding? Prisoners of war, especially high-positioned figures in Al Qaeda do not get tried in the American judicial system. They are not US citizens, they are the enemy that planned the deaths of 3000 Americans. This has always been this way for good reason. In most countries on earth, a war prisoner is tortured or killed, here we give them three squares a day and a few drips of water on the face.

Of course the world is happy we're closing Gitmo, especially Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah, nobody else would really care because it has nothing to do with them. Funny how quickly we forget what happened 7.5 years ago, but I think Biden is right, that will change soon. We're sending the world a message that we'll gladly fall on our sword, and we're ready to lower our defenses. It won't be good.

It doesn't matter what Obama continues to fuck up, all the liberals will just turn a blind eye and continue blaming Bush for all their problems. This country has some serious issues right now and rather than fix them Obama sits on his BarackBerry worrying about pointless crap that will just bleed even more money from the states/country/companies/taxpayers.

Not to try and start a new argument, but other than your opinion about how Obama treated the guantanamo bay thing, what do you have as proof that he has done anything wrong so far? You are so sure that he has messed everything up, but he's following through on what he said he would do. That is honorable. Bush couldn't do that; so far Obama is.

And you must not watch a whole lot of news if you think he's on his phone all day. The guy probably gets about 5 hours of sleep a night.

Me too, but you can't have your cake and eat it too (ummm, no pun intended). If a society cannot regulate itself someone will step up to do it for them. You cannot refuse to do anything yourself, but then whine when someone else does it for you.

As for big environmental choices there are really three main areas you can have a substantial effect. Home: Go all custom super green energy efficient building hippie style. Car: Ditch it for a bike or public transportation or most substantially Diet: Stop eating meat.

Of course someone who likes all of those things may choose to make more moderate changes within all three. Eat less meat, increase efficiency in the home, and drive less or use a fuel efficient vehicle.

I didn't read them because I already know what you facists wrote, "OMG Obama is a socialist, he's going to ruin the country!" Well, let me 'splain why I feel you are wrong. By increasing efficiency standards, CAFE(!!!!, not Obama) will make 'merican car companies more competitive worldwide, where everyone else likes less pollution. I don't know why you guys like pollution so much.

Are you guys really worried that increasing the average fuel economy of the national fleet of automobiles will really affect your sports car? I highly doubt it. Just remember, any changes would only affect the average, and it will not affect your evos or m3s or what have you.

He also won't take away your guns. Being paranoid never helped a conversation.

I think they should bring back emissions in MN. Most people on here would be paying fines and making required repairs which would help boost our economy

It is also nice sitting behind an old dsm smelling the fumes as they have removed the cat and the valve seals are leaking.
