It's still sitting on my shelf. I wanted to use it to keep spool time reasonable since it's just a winter car, but my decision to run E85 changed that.
The car already has problems starting below -12 F. Since I'm sure E85 wont help that situation I'll have to have a backup car for the really cold days. And with 2 cars I'm less likely to get annoyed by the slow spool times.

Re: Project Colt
Just have a tune for pump and run it for a couple months. Or be a man.
I ran into E85 and my car would take a decent time to start.

If tuned right, it should start on E85 no problem despite the temperature.

Re: Project Colt
Yeah, we'll see what happens. This car isn't long for this world so I'm eying the Neon SRT4 as a good candidate to replace it when the Colt collapses into a pile of rust. Or lands upside down on fire in a swamp. Whichever comes first.

Re: Project Colt
Thats sad too, because thats an original turbo model which are more rarer than gvr4's. They only imported like 1500 of these for one year, 89.

Very sad, but as you can see here this car was a goner when I bought it 3 years ago for $300. With all the rust this car could never have been saved.

As for the SRT4, I'm gonna have to wait until I sell at least one car, probably two. Plus I still really want to buy an Evo 9 while I can still get my hands on one with low miles. Oh yeah and a house probably isn't a bad idea either. So yeah, gonna be about 6 months unless I find a screaming deal on one with a LSD.

Yeah, whoever owned it before you must've been pretty ignorant.

Re: Project Colt
I think he wants about 14k for it. It's one of the nicest ones you'll ever find and it's pretty damn quick too. It's only got about 30k miles on it as well.
It's got an AGP 3147 on it right now.

Haha, that's an understatement. They crashed it into a curb at 50mph destroying everything on the front right corner. The tires that came on it were bought used from a junkyard. And there was tobacco chew spit on the inside of the windshield and passenger window. It was missing a sideskirt and neither door closes correctly.
It's been a hell of a beater though, and I wouldn't trade or sell it for anything. It's a goddamn tank.

Re: Project Colt
Nice SRT4, but keep in mind I need to replace my winter beater. I want it to be something fun but I don't want to get Minnesota road salt on someones mint street machine.
My summer cars will be a stock Miata and lightly modded Evo.

Re: Project Colt
Update on the Colt: New fuel pump and AFPR are in the car. Next is better IC piping, motor mounts, and VPC.
Unfortunately the water pump just let go though, so we'll see how quick this thing gets up and running. I may skip dynoing the 11b and toss the 16g on while I'm doing the water pump/timing belt BS.

Re: Project Colt
Project shitbox goes E85 finally.
The car got hard IC piping, metal intake pipe, 550cc injectors and VPC/GCC combo.
It's now ready for crazy 11b dyno numbers on October 3rd, then it'll probably get a 16G and a real tune before the cruise.
It also needs a blow off valve, since the factory unit is just plain obnoxious, especially with the instant spooling 11b.
