Just take it one step at a time scheides. Rent a car for now with the money you are saving on putting cheaper insurance on the car while its down. Take your time with the build, you dont want to rush anything either.
As far as the crank pulley, use a longer breaker bar. Impacts usually dont budge them unless you have a really strong one.
Nice progress! Keep it moving...next week would've been insane progress. Let us know if you need help though.
Ya dood. Thanks but its just 1-2 steps at a time as I can only fit in a few minutes here and there to work on it. Thursday night I think I will be ready for a hand if you wanna swing over.

Ya, the motor just spins over. If I put it in gear and have someone hold the brakes will it hold the crank in place? I think that's my next step otherwise I'm gonna have to hook up a bunch of sh1t and prolly spray gas everywhere while I try and crank it over. Fuel rail and injectors are all fully disassembled.
Sorry for the emo post guys, just sucked to end the night on a bolt that I couldn't get free, and someone made fun of me on the internet
With GSC cams on back-order and springs not available for at least a month why no go the Kelford route for cams/springs? I haven't been following X cams real closely, but I know Cobb favors the Kelford stuff on the X over others.
I'm wondering if it's really the gun, or if the tank can't withstand high enough pressures to get it loose. I see that issue more often than not with customers at work. What's factory torque spec?

crappy man. I'm pretty amazed that alot of the stuff you need is backordered. Hopefully it goes smoothly for you man. Guess there will be lots of time and energy spent in your garage this winter. good luck man.
You wouldn't HAVE to hook things back up to turn the starter over. You can google bench testing a starter, kinda crude but it might do the trick if you don't want to hook everything back up.

I can't help tomorrow scheides, gotta hang out with a buddy i haven't seen for a while, told him i would already. I am sure you will get along fine without my infinite wisdom though, lol.
Can't you just plug the battery in, and the starter wire, then take a screw driver and bridge the positive battery cable on the starter to the solenoid spade, make pretty sparks and get the nut off.
Also, it could be the air hose you are using. A smaller diameter one acts just like an oil restrictor for a turbot. Get a better hose, try again. Just borrow, don't buy, I should say. All you need it for is one nut.
Murlo no biggie, I'm fucking shot from life/work right now I just can't deal with the car tonight. Just gonna lay low so I'm not a big POS at Mark/Ali's party tomorrow and just deal with the car later.
