Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
I think a set of Weld wheels(or similar, light) and full slicks will be in order befor it sees the track.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
I have a little more done on the car, radiator and hoses are almost done, the wiring is almost done, and I decided to remove the dash and make a custom gauge cluster. I have cut down the alternator harness to where I need it, now its time to run the wires for it. I hope to have it at the fall dyno day. The car will be tuned on E85 or c-16, it depends when MN switchs to the winter mix.

Bah, use E98, much cheaper and the blend is consistent.
Good to see you're keeping it and getting her done.

"after 10, 15 grand tops, over night parts from Japan if we have to, it will desimate all." "I need 2 big bottles, and I need it by tonight", the only time in the hole move they referd to it has Nitrous Oxide, not nawwwzzzz.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
Nope. I jsut got back from the shop. Thanks john! I think every issue is fixed! It pulls, shifts through the gears when I pound them, doesn't die on me..etc. Too bad the end of the year is here, and If I tuned it would be a waste. So, I'll wait till I get those parts we talked about onto my car, then tune. I think this time around the clutch will hold, and the car will rev out!

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
I took out the dash and every wire that was on it, shaved about 40lbs. Next to go is the stock stearing wheel and install my Grant I have at home. Then I just need to finish running the few wires in the car to control everything. I am using switches and relays for everything. I still need to clean up the gauge holder and make the mounts but you get the idea.

I plan to rev untill the motor stops making good power, and after I shift its back on power again(full boost). So I might or might not have to rev to or past 10k.

Just get it running for the dyno day, keep boost and power down until you get all the bugs worked out, then let'er buck! Wonder how much power that turbo will make at 20psi

That is not a wise bet! The old motor with a crappy 60 trim, was at some times launched at 8 or 9...I can't remember. All I know is I was sure the flywheel would be sawing thru my pants as soon as John let the clutch out.

He never left.
I didn't have any specific pics in mind, It just might be fun to look at it, how about a pic of whatever you are working on right now.
also, was it hard to get the dash out with the cage in there?
