Re: Beater 2g
Yep its a 3065. This is my first dsm and I kinda wanted what I thought was a nice/quality turbo that could some day get me into the 11s. Looked around on the dsm forums and tried to do some research on what size turbos people were using to get into the 11s similar sized turbos to the fp3065. I also wanted a mitsu housing so I could bolt it up to a 2g mani. I always read about cheap tubulars cracking and I'm too cheap to buy a quality one. Read a couple reviews from people that had them the 3065 and everybody seemed to love it and put down pretty good numbers. Found my turbo on the dsmlink forums for what I consider a deal and bought it up.
Numbers were on e85 with only a re-wired walbro and 1600s. All fuel lines are stock even the fuel rail feed with the stock banjo fitting, hell I even have the stock regulator.
Its my fmic, haha nothing like waiting 3+ months for an undamaged slow boy intercooler.
Thanks Brian!

Re: Beater 2g
Damn... Thats pretty impressive with the fuel setup you got. Way to go on making great power without going overboard on everything!
Plans for next season? More power or are you good with what you have?
What were you running for boost?

I think its safe to say we would all want more power if we could. So of course I'll probably want more power some day, but I'm really happy with where it is. Might try and make it turn and look good next year.
Boost was 28psi.

30+ feels great.
That is a sweet setup man. Definitely in the 11s all day if not better.

450whp, very nice! AND she gets down the track? Sounds like a well put-together DSM! Stock motors FTMFW, looks like you hit the nail on the head with your setup. Now keep it running!

Re: Beater 2g
Congrats on the times. I am surprised it went 126 with it's 2G weight and VTEC powerband. Get the NLTS wire hooked up, some tires and practice, then you might be in the low 11s.

We were out of fuel pump on the dyno. If he does anything about that, then the question will be how far he wants to push the stock motor.

Re: Beater 2g
How far you think we could push the stock motor Shane?
I could probably do some fuel mods over the winter, to try and make some more power. Think an in-line 044 with my 255 and -8 feed lines to the rail would be enough with a new regulator?

Re: Beater 2g
Wow, that's crazy power! Makes me wanna get mine goin on e85 soon! That's the same turbo I'm runing, except mine has the PTE exhaust housing instead of the FP one.

3065 has the 61mm 35R compressor wheel, a tad bigger than yours my friend! Still, your car will own on E85...DO IT!

Re: Beater 2g
Huh, I thought FP used the same compressor wheel as a garret 3065.

Re: Beater 2g
There is no Garrett 3065, 3065 is an FP turbo. Which turbo do you have Kevin?

Re: Beater 2g
He has 3076, dispite the bigger last two digits, the compressor wheel is smaller. The FP 3065 (65 cause it's a 65lb/min comp wheel) is actually like a garret 3082, if such a thing existed (since a full 35R is a 3582). The 3076 is a 52lb/min turbo I believe.
