Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
I've driven a lot of Ford rentals, and really like their ambient lighting interior stuff. So when I saw they had this from Mopar the ricer in me was kinda hooked

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
Haven't got them yet, but they look like a really heavy duty winter mat, wouldn't mind having 2 sets as nice as the ones you got are.
I need to get some for the civic and I think bmw and I'd probably get what you have

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
Those look good in there! I'm happy with mine also. I have the exact same review about them - no grooves to catch water/slush, but the fitment and look of them is excellent. I really like the look of them. Its not as rubber looking as the WTs.

Yeah, it looks like once the salt infused snow melts on the bottom of your shoes/boots, its going to funnel it all right into the door jam area and into the plastic panels and rust out that area where some wires probably run too. Boo! can you maybe heat them up with a heat gun and form a lip there?

Why not?! He could store it up all winter, then water his garden with it in the summer!

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
Well earlier this week I got to play a game of bumper cars on the way to work. There was 6 of us and I was #4. Don't know what happened, but I suspect the young kid that started it was probably on his phone and slammed his brakes last minute on the highway and nailed this lady, which was then followed by people braking and swerving behind him. I unfortunately swerved right into a slick area and ended up nailing an Infinity G37. Felt a lot worse then it looks. Here's pretty much the only carnage I fan find. Crack in bumper under the headlight, and you can can see the corner of the bumper popped out from the fender area. Pretty light damage in the end. So I gotta bring her in to get fixed, but kinda bummed about it.
Maybe when I get it fixed, I'll have them add on the running boards I've been wanting, try to make something positive come out of this whole mess

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
The damage appears minor which is good. Let us know what the estimated damage is.

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
I may have missed it, but did you ever end up getting a handheld tuner for this beast?

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
I did not. I'm not too thrilled about it. It ends up costing around $1000. It's an entirely new ECU that is 'unlocked', and then a tuner will work with it. The 2015+ ECU's are just locked down so hard that the normal plug in tuner doesn't work. So then I have to swap in the stock ECU when I go in for warranty work. When I asked them about it being untraceable, their reply was a generic "I don't really see how they could trace it" which wasn't the definitive "NO" I was looking for. I found out it does absolutely nothing for the trans as far as better shifting. I found out it cannot disable AWD (for dynoing on a 2wd dyno for example). All it is is a basic engine tune. Just not worth $1000 for me, especially since they don't sound too confident that it is untraceable by the warranty nazi's. So it's pretty much completely off the table at this point. Next mod I'm looking at is running boards. But it'll be awhile for those.

Re: New DD: Project DurRTay-D
That is crappy about the 2015 ECU's being locked down so hard. Had you know this in advance, would you have opted for the 2014 R/T instead where it's a simple plug-in & flash handheld?
