You throw away the outside and cook the inside. Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside. What did you eat?

Re: Lateral thinking
a man lives on the 25th floor (ha)! on sunny days on his way to work he takes the elevator from the 25th floor to the 1st and then when he comes home he takes the elevator from the 1st floor to the 15th and takes the stairs the rest of the way, but on days when it is raining he takes it from the 25th floor to the 1st floor on is way to work and on his way home he takes the elevator from the 1st floor all the way to the 25th floor.
Why is this....

1 door closes, 9 open. When 9 close, 1 door opens. What is it?

Re: Lateral thinking
The enclosure is the womb, and the ten doors are the ten orifices of man, namely his eyes, his ears, his nostrils, his mouth, the apertures for discharge of excreta and urine, and the navel. When the child is still in its mother's womb, the navel is open, but all the other apertures are shut, but when the child issues from the womb the navel is closed and the other orifices are open.

While on lateral thinking... Here are some things to ponder:
You drive in a Parkway but park in a Driveway.
If a fly didnt have wings would it be called a walk?
What color does a smurf turn when you choke it?

Re: Lateral thinking
If a tree falls in the woods and no one and nothing is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Yes and no, depending on your definition of sound.
If you look at it as the vibrations transmitted through the air caused by a tree falling, then yes.
If you look at it as the stimulation of the ear drum, then no, because there is no ear drum around to be stimulated.

Neither. Color is generated by the reflection of light off an object. Certain colors of the spectrum are absorbed by the material, the ones that are reflected represent the color of the object as seen by our eyes. If there is no light, then there are no colors either absorbed or reflected by the object, therefor, the blade of grass technically has no color.
