I'm pretty sure 16's can fit. My Brembo's, although they are not the Evo's calipers, can fit 16's. 16's makes your brakes(caliper/rotors) huge!

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
16's would not fit over evo brembos, hense them comming stock with 17's with very little clearance.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
That's not the finished piece is it? I'd be worried about leaving such sharp edges on aluminum. It creates stress points for the metal to tear. Aluminum is strong, but once it starts to tear can be very weak. Obviously that would be unwanted on a part of the brake system.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Alu in general is unsuited to brake systems anyway. Way to much thermal expansion.

Is that why the expensive 2 peice rotors use an aluminum hat? I am also a little worried about the grinding points in the bracket though.

Is that also why most 4 piston calipers are made from alumnium?

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
that was bracket number 1. there were others that were made for the finnal ones.
also go look at 90% of the big brake kits they use alum brackets, alum top hats on the rotors, and alum calipers

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
i have 16" kosei k1 wheels, which in agressive offset, are told they could clear evo brembos. i tried them on my friends evo with no success. they hit the caliper.
