Between Obies Health Insurance Care, the economy, the war, and the border problem, they should be shaking in their boots right now. Many Dems aren't even going to get past their primaries.

It's so nice to see that our current government has absolutely zero care what the American people think:

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
What a piece of shit joke our judicial system has turned into: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010...n-law-dispute/
THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS SUPPORT THIS LAW! Democrat heads are going to roll come November meanwhile so many Republicans are being wishy-washy because they're afraid of the fucking latino vote. It won't be long now before we're entirely overrun. God forbid a state try and protect itself while our worthless federal government does nothing but enable harm.

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
THANK GOD the judge stopped this. And im really surprized that the media has been covering the whole having to show papers when lawfully stopped, rather than the fact that the law allowed police to search any house WITHOUT a warrant suspected of having illegals in it. Sounds a lot like what the Nazi SS did when looking for jews.
and No chris. The majority does not support this. Just the people who yell and scream "there takin 'r jobs" every time someone crosses the border.
Its not the states job to take care of foriegn relations, its the federal government job to do so. And states like AZ need to STFU and know their roll.

When the Fed govt fails to take care of it's foreign relations, who will take care of it? Obviously Arizona said enough is enough and took the reins themselves.

Excuse me? Not all of us just bend over and take it (except when drunk on evil Stroh rum). Even though it is the police's job to protect us, I'm still going to do what I can to protect myself, my wife, and my property.

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
The states representatives, Senators and governors need to go through the ranks of the fed government to get them changed and push for it, not pass laws like they are a sovereign nation.
Example: In a corporation, if the mailroom clerk decided it was in the best interest of the company to close 10 branch offices, there would be no way in hell that the CEO would not fire his ass.
AZ is essentially doing the same thing that illegal immigrants are doing, by not following the rules and laws that we have in place to get what they want.

If a state has a problem enforcing laws and keeping itself safe then it has the right to act on its own just as the rest of us do if police aren't helping. Arizona is doing what they need to do to shore up the border because the federal government sure is not doing anything at all.
Louisiana didn't wait for Obama and company to help them out, they went right to work on their beaches and enabled fishermen to use their boats to help with containment and cleanup. Had they waited for the feds to step in they would have been up to their neck in oil and in an even worse situation than they already were.
Tom, your mindset is that of we should look up to the federal government and let them do what they want because they know what's best. You would rather wait for a handout and hope things don't get worse rather than take matters into your own hands. If where you live was being threatened by lawlessness would you not want your state to act if the federal government wasn't doing anything about it?
This isn't about politics. This is about retaining our sovereignty, securing our country and potentially saving American lives on our very own soil.

The way the founders originally set it up and the way it's been pretty much till this day is state law trumps federal law.

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
I'm mexican and I'm 50/50 with this law.
We all know that drugs come from Mexico, so by being able to check peoples status at the border state they might be able to stop more contraband from comng up north.
I've lived here most of my life, went to school here, never been to jail, or court, I have moving violations just like every other natural US citizen, I DONT go to hearing when I get one, I pay it in full. I've been filing my taxes since I got my first job when I turned 18, later got married and have never received ANY assistance from state.
It's very easy to say " come here legally" when I came here it wasn't my choice, my dad wanted me here not with my mom back in Mexico so ok whatever I walked my ass over here for like 3 days.
Fast forward to after I got married, wife being a US citizen we hired a lawyer to help us on this process, it's a long process, pictures, 5-6 page letter from friends and familly, fees here, fees there, I have paid 3 times for visa, which was ~$520 and which I haven't gotten yet.
Ive been on this process longer than I can remember, sometimes I just wanna cancel this and "live in the shadows" again. I got my SSN which can be traced back to me, INS, ICE and any other agency that deals with immigrants k os this, they have my info, know where I live and work. But they are taking their time at getting shit done.I just wanna get my permanent resident card.
So my point is, yes people come here ilegally because the wait is too long. And some never start a process because it takes too long and too expensive. ( so far I spent over $5k and that number still going up) they need to please hurry up and come up with something where all the people who never been in trouble, pay taxes and don't receive anything from state can stay here.

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
The way I see it, AZ is implementing laws that better uphold federal law and actually enforce it since the federal government does not. The system is broken, Tom, action needs to be taken in order for it to get fixed. Sitting idly by while our nation is overrun by illegals, some of whom are rapists, thieves, and murderers, just waiting for someone else to come to our rescue is not going to work.

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
Parts of the law were held up because "it would put too big of a burden on the federal government". Good, the federal government fucked up, they should clean up.
Here's some facts:
What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?
Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around.
I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me.
Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the
deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American
citizens that desperately needed work..
Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal's after WWII to create jobs
for returning veterans.
And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million
Mexican Nationals! The program was called 'Operation Wetback'. It was
done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.
It took 2 Years, but they deported them!
Now....if they could deport the illegal's back then - they could sure do it today..
lf you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation
Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself. (I did it)
Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes...
26 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you!
