High temp coated stainless.
They are also getting wrapped before install.

Jet-Hot? Are you going to dyno your car before & after the heat wrapping by chance?

The words "before install" tell me no. Why would he bother?

I have seen 16hp Briggs engines show horsepower drops on a dyno after adding heat wrap/heat. It'd be interesting to see what happens on a much larger scale.

I"d rather keep my engine bay from catching fire. I don't possibly see how not wrapping turbo manifolds will help the situation. They are spray painted with a DEI high temp paint, we did not have time to send them out for jet hot. The entire engine bay is treated with DEI, yes there are pretty parts, but function over form on this car.
However, I'd love to get a link to that study, as it would be an interesting read.

It was testing we did at school 2 years ago on the engine for our 1/4 scale tractor so there's no paper. I don't even know where the graphs are anymore, but those horsepower drops were the reason Flowmaster increased the piping size on the exhaust systems Kevin McClelland has fabricated for us. If I run across them I'll let you know.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
It finally starts and idles. I am going through it tommorrow afternoon/night to get my tach's to work and get my wideband to sync to the AEM, then its break in time on the dyno (the thing is practically broken in idling, -10 vac already) and then some tuning....
This thing sounds MEAN! Think exotic, not muscle car.
