Re: Yep..another one.

Well gay. Got the motor out of the parts car, one cylinder showed low compression, and figured the rings were the culprit. Turns out, no, cause me owning a dsm can't be simple haha. Turns out that piston had a good chunk missing between the first two ring lands....shitty. Oh well, all the reason to upgrade (meaning 2g pistons prob). Rods all look good still. Still got what I wanted out of the parts car, so will start to search for some piston options.

Re: Yep..another one.

Found a set of 2g pistons with machined 1g rods for a steal of a deal, so prob gonna jump on that this weekend, and order up bearings, piston rings, gaskets, and put that bish back together. Been off the road too long, miss boost

Re: Yep..another one.

Actually worked on the car today. Pulled the seats and everything out of the parts car for the good ol' switcharoo, and started tearing the panda interior out. Stupid leaky sunroof ruined the interior in the panda, so I will be addressing that issue before I put it all together. Will also be lubing up the shifter cables (hoping I don't have to replace them), seeing as they're awful stiff, and other misc cleaning and reassembling.

Re: Yep..another one.

You can have them, I still have to pull the one with the rusty frame sliders, its being a bit difficult.
