Removing A Clear Bra

my car has an original eagle bra on it. i want to take it off because i dont like it but they also put on a clear bra underneath it. the clear bra has turned a nasty yellow color. how do i take the clear one off? ive heard that they dont come off with out taking lots of paint with them.

I would try using a heat gun on it. That is probably going to be the safest way to get it off. After that I would start looking at some chemicals, but test them in inconspicuous areas to see if they have adverse affects on the paint.

Working in body shops all my life I have taken off more of those than I care to say. The only way that we ever had any luck is using a heat gun to heat the film (careful not to burn the paint) and peel it off they come off hard and in peices.
then you are going to have to spend some time usng 3m adhesive remover you should be able to get it at carquest or napa. usualy you have to soak rags in adhesive remover and let them sit on the adhesive a couple of minutes then carefully use a rag or bondo spreader to take the sofened adhesive off.

Come to wayzata mitsu sometime moday-thursday 9pm or a little later, I could help get it off, and buff the hood so it looks good after. I am the night-time detail manager, we are in the basement under the dealership.
