I liked my Greddy Type S when I still had my Talon.

Re: Good BOV
I say stock IX, otherwise if you want something louder go with a GReddy

Re: Good BOV
Ok sounds good. Seems like the IX is the top pick. I just seen an ad for "synapse: best BOV made for an evo" so I thought I'd ask.

Re: Good BOV
synapses are nice bovs, but a little on the $$$ side if I remember right. If you're gonna keep your maf, you probably want to stick with a Evo9 bov. If you're not, Tial, Synapse, HKS, whatever other than TurboXS will be fine also.

Re: Good BOV
What's your goals, and what car is it going on? A stock 1G bov is cheap and goes a long way.

A stock 1G DSM BOV put in a vice and crushed down a bit. You can do the same thing to an Evo IX BOV. Basically, it helps them hold a bit more boost but at the expense of flutter.
You aren't going to want a 1G BOV on an Evo, even crushed they leak before a stock IX BOV does.

Re: Good BOV
Well i'm not running that much boost, so the crushed part kinda seems a bit extreme at this point... Or am I missing the concept?

Re: Good BOV
Unless you're running over 30 psi there is no point in crushing the IX BOV.

Re: Good BOV
So, say I had a 1g does a evo 9 bov have the same flange as the stock bov? I'm running a 2g Mas still so I want to recirculate the air still, but I will be running just over 30psi... Any other recommendations?
