Re: Engine Oil

Any Mobil 1 is good. They make a 0W- and 5W-20.

On the contrary, it's progressively improving, they just don't advertise formula changes. Amazing what a legit R&D dept with real scientists, engineers, and a budget deep into the millions is able to accomplish.

The guys who bash Mobil 1 are the same ones that get a hard-on over zinc, aka pyramid scheme brochure thumpers. Zinc, who's usage was reduced for emissions reasons, is a cheap and old anti-wear additive, the little guys don't have the means for all the R&D new formulations require so they stand on this while the bigger players do the legwork and get new additives and formulas created. One example is ExxonMobil replacing zinc with titanium dioxide in some of their oils, such as Mobil Super.

Re: Engine Oil

Mobil has a new oil for us to check into!

https://mobiloil.com/en/motor-oils/m...ual-protection

Mobil 1 Annual Protection. They rate it for 1 year or 20k miles, whichever comes first. I'm wondering if this will replace the Extended Performance since that one is rated at 1 year/15k miles?
