Advice on wiring an SAFC II

I need to wire an my afc into my new shell, and i don't have any sort of wiring diagram. I did however, write down what wires it was connected in the old harness. My question is do you guys have any advice on how to wire it in, and what to use to connect the wires? Do some connectors work better than others?

Soldering works the best.

I was thinking of using those connectors that you heat up, and when you heat it, it solders itself and heat shrinks at the same time. The only problem is is i don't know how safe the other wirs will be from the heating torch.

Yeah those work good as well. They can be tricky in tight spots though. I used a portasol soldering gun and heat shrink on mine and it worked great and looked clean.

When I disconnected the wires from my car, There were three wires that weren't connected to anything. Any ideas? I can post which colors they were for sure later, but i think they were blue, yellow and white.

I just did mine, the white and yellow go where the pink and orange go on a different car. We have a sensor that is a Karman type so we use the pink and orange instead of the white and yellow. The blue is for a car with an RB26DETT.
Found here on page 8 and 9...

I've wired AFC's into about 25 DSM's with the red clips you fold over and squeeze with a pliars and never once has a single wire come loose. This method is much easier and faster IMO.

Those work good if you are talking about the ones we use for installing car alarms and remote starters. They are called T-Taps. They fold over the wire you are tapping into and then you plug a male spade connector into it. Makes it easy for quick connect/disconnect and you arent hackin up a bunch of wires. I've never had any problems with them either.

Re: Advice on wiring an SAFC II

I soldered it up last night, but the shrink wrap was getting in the way so i just used electrical tape over the solder. Thanks for all the help though.
