I think I'm gonna ditch my cat when I put on my downpipe, what kind of difference in sound is there? I'm already borderline annoyed with the loudness of the 3" thermal catback I have, should I maybe throw a 3" glass pack/resonator or two in place of the cat? Also my shocks are tired, I'm thinking of throwing in some Illuminas and some pro-kits, anyone have any experience with these? ride quality?

I have an Extreme Motorsports Downpipe, and Thermal Catback, and stock cat, I ddnt think it was too loud at all, You can always get a silencer.

A stock cat is really slowing your system down. You spent all that money on exhaust and you have a huge bottleneck with that stock cat.

I have a Burschur 2.5" turboback exh, and I have a 2.5" free flo cat. I put the car in during the winter months becuase yes it does make the car quieter. During the summer its annoying to have such a loud exhaust with the test pipe, thats why this year Im going to weld in a bullet muffler in place of the free flow cat and put on a resonated tip. That should help.

Add a test pipe or resonator. There won't be much of a change in the exhaust tone if any thats noticable. Most of it's in the muffler and exhaust tip.

I have a 3'' turboback. And it's pretty damn loud. I think it's pretty noticable. But I dont completely mind that my car is loud. But there is definetly a change when you upgrade downpipes and your not running a cat.
