When you say e-tuners do you mean remote tuners like tscompusa or whatever his name is? The remote tuning just seems sketchy to me.

Re: EGT & E85

^Exactly. Tcomp is always the first hack that comes to mind when people mention remote tuners. There is also Hollywood and ClipseGT in the Evo X world. Problem is, you can't program a car like you can a computer, so just because you own a laptop with some freeware software it doesn't make you an expert. Hell, most so called "tuners", especially the self-tuner guys, can't even tell you what a majority of the ECU tables beyond basic fuel and timing even do. I've even encountered a few who couldn't explain the fuel tables values other than "I make the number bigger to go leaner, and smaller to go richer" with no idea what those numbers are supposed to correlate to, or even theoretically mean.

Re: EGT & E85

Agreed. I would rather tow my car across multiple states to have it tuned by a good tuner than do any type of remote tuning. I'm just glad we have Shane here in mn or I'd probably be towing my car down to Illinois to Devon at Boostin performance for a tune
