Re: Evo8 ECU in a 1G DSM

I'm running an Evo 8 ECU in my 2G, and I love it.

Quote:
The main problems with the Evo ECU are it's over zealous/flaky knock control, flaky idle control compared to DSMs, and all kinds of new CELs that 1Gs don't normally ever have to deal with. The EcuFlash software is quick and easy to use though and EvoScan is pretty good.
Phantom knock is a big issue for 1G's. In the Evo ECU, it can be adjusted out with the 3 knock multipliers. Most any CEL can be easily disabled, I'm running no emissions, no stock o2's, etc yet have no CEL. Now I have switched to speed density also. There are definitely some things I like better about Tunerpro over ECUFlash though. Both the 1G EPRO, and Evo 8 ECU are way better to deal with right now than a 95 EPROM though.

Wow really? That's badass man! Glad some of the stuff going on in the evo community is actually working its way back to the DSM's! Sounds like a fantastic setup!
