No spark on 2 and 3

I've searched on google and tuners and found a ton of people having issues with no spark on 2 and 3. Most of them were wires that were not being plugged in or a bad CAS/ignitor/ecu. Here's the deal, I had it idling about 2-3 years. Swapped out the 1g intake manifold and NT throttle body for a SMIM and a rebuilt NT throttle body last year since it has been idling. Also installed a Magnus heat barrier intake gasket. Been trying to start it and it has been a no go. I have spark on cylinder 1 and 4. No spark on 2 and 3. I've bought a new oem coil pack so I can rule that out. I've tried a different power transistor which the outcome was no spark on 1, 2, and 3 so I put back the other one. I've tried a CAS from Halon's old talon and same issue. Triple checked the wiring and everything is connected like how it was when it was idling before. No missing plug or wires dangling by itself. I opened up the ECU case and did not smell anything rotten. Nothing looked burnt or broken. I had ecu socketed at ecmtuning. There's gotta be something that I'm missing.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Can't rule out new parts.

Also you said the power transistor you tested was worse than your original as you lost spark on 1,2 and 3.

Find a good known power transistor as that's probably the issue.

If that doesn't work open up your loom and check for wiring issues.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

My buddy will be bringing a working transistor from his working 2g this weekend and I will give that a shot. I took off all of the looms out years ago. I also tested the voltage on the CAS, transistor, and coil pack plug with a multimeter and they seem to be fine.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

It is definitely not a power transistor/ignitor issue. I just tested the brown/red wire that runs to the ecu pin 23 which is for cylinder 2 and 3 on the power transistor connector. It reads .04-.05. I'm assuming it should be around 12 volts? The black/blue wire runs to ecu pin 10 which is for 1 and 4 shows 12 volts. I ran through the wire and did not find it cut or anything.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Sounds like a wire to the coil or something. You can almost guarantee it has to do with the coil since it is 2 & 3.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

I am having the same problem but I am getting spark on 2 & 3 not on 1 & 4! I have swapped out everything including CAS, power transistor, plugs, wires and coil packs. I am running AEM v1 on a 6 bolt buschur block and head. I am just stumped. I am getting plenty of fuel and enough fuel to actually backfire ever probably ten cycles or so of cranking the car over. Any suggestions????

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Might be wiring or the AEM itself.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Suggestions on where to start?!? I also am running a MSD DIS-2 with a msd dual ignition adaptor. Or is there a way to test the AEM to make sure that it is working properly?

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Did you try bypassing the MSD? They fail all the time.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Reminds me that I have to tow the spyder back to my house and start diagnostic on it. I never did find out why I had no spark on 2 and 3.

Re: No spark on 2 and 3

Only if I had the MSD bypass I could test it but since I don't have one unfortunately I cant really test it
