Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
^lol.
The white guy is either munchgsx or quigs on here. It usually takes some pushing for me to work on my own crap or the hope that I could have a running car soon.
Plan is to just get it running maybe 16G power and go from there, right now though Im not sure.
I straight up just love DSMs I don't know if I can be without one again, but there are so many other cars I would like to go to. But being honest with myself I don't ever see buying a newer car for myself esp. to mod.

Ouch, looks like the bearings from the parts car motor I bought. 16g ftw, if I were staying in dsm's I would just build a crazy 16g car, cheap and make power, plus tons off fun to boot. Did you ever find another motor?

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
So finally figured out that my sweet parts car needs an ECU, motor that hasn't run in 2 years fired up like a champ and idled great.
Found out that it has 450s and a 14B, so I'm already ahead of the game.
So tomorrow is a big day, apart from my usual crap I need to source a water pump, AT car came with a spare Gates T-belt so I'm good on that and probably a BSEK. Then the motor will be ready to go in. Oh I also have my lifetime warranty 90amp alternator to swap on even though this one is fine.
End of tonight (8/18):
In classic me and the broseph QUigs, broke more tools, well just one this time, but it put us at a major halt. (exploded my 1/2" ratchet, thx craftsman)
Axles nuts are rusted on, downpipe bolts to not want to cooperate.
Should be out completely tomorrow, and I will be sourcing some ECU repair services and some AT trans stuff, oh yeah I need a title for this thing too.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
You need to learn how to use air tools. Lol
The thing started and ran on shit gas and after 3 years of sitting. What is it going to do with e85 and a 16g? Sept. 25 Automagic vs. MunchAuto Rockfalls?

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
^I need a good air hose.
I want to say this thing fired up with the help of munchgsx, i think he had less than 10 mins standing there and it just happened.
Needless to say, I think with him standing there drinking some Natty Ice while I work this motor over its gonna get some good mojo.
E85 and a 16G and full weight? That is a realm undiscovered.
I did learn that I will probably never break 400whp with this car though.
Update for the peoples (I might of said this already):
My awesome parts car has now provided motor, radiator (awd one had the herp or something on top of it that leaked like a fountain), and NON-abs parts.
Not too shabby.

Very nice. Doing the abs delete will be a lot easier with all the stuff you need from another car.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Hmmm 123k stock longblock. Started right up after sitting for 2 years.
Parts car, still taking non ABS and radiator. Come and get parts people.
Tomorrow, I have a full day need to clean the garage so that I can get out without killing myself on tools or car parts.
Post up more stuff for sale.
Source transmission filter, clutches, BSEK, water pump, and new belts.
Oh and I need soem ecu repair action.
