Re: Fuel Cut #3

Alright, this problem as been pissing me off for the last year. The last boost leak test I did, I had three leaks. One from the MBC "bleed hole" (small drilled hole on barb fitting), one from the TB shaft seals. and one from either the back of the compressor cover or near there (I can't pinpoint exactly). I replaced the TB shaft seals, I think the bleeding MBC is supposed to do that, and I can't find the last one*.

* that last one in a sense shouldn't matter because I have a GM MAF in blow through, so leaks before it shouldn't affect it.

Now, in reguards to the GM MAF. If I have read correctly, by going to the GM MAF doesn't have an intake air temp sensor built in like the 1G maf, hence why GM cars all have an IAT before their mafs. Anyways, If I am sucking in a bunch of cold dense air, and the ECU thinks its 80 degrees out, wouldn't it assume OMFG there is a shit ton of air going in me, AHHH! cut that fuel and spark bitch! Am I understanding this right? Am I heading the right direction in my thoughts?

You can fix fuel cut by not being such a b1tch and coming on the fall cruise. If you would have gone, it would have fixed your fuel cut issue.

.....or get bigger injectors ....Didn't we discuss this already? Srsly. Get bigger injectors.

No, your thoughts are wrong actually. I was running GM MAF/Link on an SCM61 years ago and I never hit fuel cut, even in the dead of winter. And I ran just the MAF on a 20g, also perfectly fine.

Either get Link or have Shane burn you a chip. Hell I still have my 750cc chip if you get 750s you can have it for $20.

DSMLink eliminates fuel cut... and has cool features such as locked ait and baro for the GM maf users.

Hence why I put in the bit about my 20g and one of the many reasons you should just pony up and get it.
