Air Filter: Oiled or Unoiled?

Hey guys, looking to put a new filter in my RA. I've read good and bad things about both oiled and unoiled filters.

My main concern is the potential for voided warranty stuff. Yes, I know that it's unlikely that the MAF would go bad because of the oil, but that's not likely what Mitsubishi would say if something goes wrong with it.

Your thoughts?

I'd use something that isn't heavily oiled.

If I had to recommend a brand I'd say green filters or amsoil.

I know un oiled filters like AFE are popular with X guys, I think the MAFs are picky with the oiled ones.

Re: Air Filter: Oiled or Unoiled?

Just get a K&N, there won't be much available for the Ralliart in the way of drop-in filters. I checked and AFE doesn't have oiled or dry available. A properly oiled air filter will not hurt or damage the MAF sensor in any way.

HKS might have one available, they filter like crap.
