2g ABS removal

I deleted most of the ABS stuff in the car a month or two ago (everything in the engine bay), and last night I found the ABS computer underneath the passenger carpet. I unplugged it but there is a ton of wiring to this thing, it's a monstrous cable bundle all on it's own. Has anyone remove all the wiring associated with this, and how much work is it? Where does all this wiring go to and stop?

Also, I found a little relay and some other plugin next to the computer, do I need these or are they part of the ABS system as well?

That sounds like a lot of work just for some wires that no one will ever see, and maybe a couple pounds.

Re: 2g ABS removal

I have nothing better to do, and my car is down for the week anyway. Took just two hours to remove the ABS computer and a couple feet of wiring and put everything back into place.

I didn't take the time to unwrap all the bundles and track down every last wire, that's too much time for me. If it was a drag car I would, but I just wanted to get rid of the huge harness.

Re: 2g ABS removal

No way, I'm scared of taking the dash cluster off to remove the light bulb. I'd much rather delete the two computers that gave me lights. Oh, I turned the key to the 'on' position without starting it and both the SRS and AntiLock lights are both gone! Woohoo!

Re: 2g ABS removal

lol the dash cluster just pops right out... took mine out of the GSX multiple times, also out of the M. 3 screws and it just pops out. lol

Awesome on lights being off though!
