need to limp my car to DB, I live in brainerd area.
So the fuel mods are as follows.
fmic
pte scm60-1
750 injectors
3inch exhaust
O2 dump
SAFC 2
2g maf
rewired fuel pump.. i believe.
Basically I need to just get this car around but not to much. i know shane was saying the 750's are going to be to large, I believe I have some stock ones laying around. I am basically looking for a decent starting point to prevent knock. I know every car tunes different but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Stock injectors, baby the thing like crazy down the highway, then have Shane chip your ECU.

Find out if you have an EPROM ECU, if so, get it socketed. Then either get DSMlink or I can send you a chip to drive the car here on and then I can custom tune the chip.

I am told it does have a eprom ECU but it is not socketed... should i put the stock injectors back in it or should i leave the 750's in it?

You can run the 750s with with a chipped ECU. Is the car a 95?

You might not have an EPROM ECU if it's a 1990.

Re: need to limp my car to DB, I live in brainerd area.
yes it is eprom. on that "chip" that is in there that makes it eprom says E742.. not sure if that matters or not.
So i guess my next question is where to go from here?... should i throw the stock injectors back in? So paging threw my pictures I found I have a set of injectors that are top 1/2 red, bottom 1/2 black. not to sure if those would work or not.

Are you just trying to drive the car around or what? If you get that ECU socketed, then you can get a chip and run the 750s. If you wanted to try to run the SAFC, then you would probably want to get some 550s, the 450s will hit fuel cut on an unmodded ECU well before the injectors are close to maxed and the 750s won't tune worth a crap with the SAFC. You could scale the 750s to get it part throttle driveable and go very easy on it.

well I am trying to get it down there, but trying to avoid extra costs which i know is not a good idea. do you know of the injectors i'm talking about that are 1/2 red n 1/2 black.. i believe they might be the stock 1g ones. not 100% sure though.

Re: need to limp my car to DB, I live in brainerd area.
So what are you trying to do in the end. Just get an EPROM chip type tune from Shane, or just an SAFC tune, or some sort of Chip/SAFC combo tune? Is the SAFC is currently installed?

Re: need to limp my car to DB, I live in brainerd area.
I don't think those are stock injectors. Stock turbo injectors on a 1g have a blue top on them. you should get your ecu socketed and have shane burn you a chip. Don't waste your time with a safc if your running 750s on pump gas. Just have shane burn you a chip. End of story.

Option 1) Put in your stock injectors, and add + 18% to +22% across low to compensate for the 2g maf on a 1g ECU. That should keep you safe, do not use much throttle, set your SAFC settings so that you don't get out of low throttle map, or copy/past the same to both low and high throttle maps.
Option 2) Your settings with the 750's will show roughly -25% fuel, to much timing to be safe IMHO with a S-AFC. You can probably set the S-AFC at a straight -15% to -20% reduction in airflow signal. That should get you close enough to drive it and get you down there.
Option 3) Trailer the car
Option 4) Have shane send you a chip for the 750's already compensated in the hard code of the ECU. Then do minor tweaks with the S-AFC.
Option 5) Get a different tuning software.
Have fun!

So i forgot to mention which probably might be somewhat of a big deal.. but i do have the boost controller turned all the way down. So i guess with the advice from above and this information how does it change things?

It shouldn't, because you should be driving it as easy as possible the entire drive there, and never come close to reaching the boost controller setting.
