BOV flutter

A guy I know drives a Starion, and I've always loved the sound of the BOV fluttering. I've looked into it and some people say it's not a good thing, does anyone know about this?

Re: BOV flutter

It generally means the spring is tensioned too tight or the spring is too stiff. It can be a tricky balance though depending on how quickly the turbo spools and how much peak boost you're attempting to run.

Correct, StarQuests did not come with a BOV/BPV.

Re: BOV flutter

Put a Stock 1g BOV on there before it breaks the turbo shaft in half.
