Kiel I'm not trying to sound like a dick here, but I thought you were planning/working on selling your car?

Don't forget there is not a whole lot of spare room in the engine bay. I am also sure the engine internals are far weaker than the TT engines.

Was and Is, but I've been told that a junk yard turbo car is not hard to do... And if someone drives a car thats both fast AND good looking, I might have a better chance of selling it... who knows... not to mention I'm going to win the lottery... :razz2:

Yunkyard turbo cars aren't worth a anything...probably hurt the value. Nobody is going to buy a year old car that has ghetto fabbed stuff on it, especially since it will automatically void the warranty.

and now folks, its time for another good idea, bad idea.
Good idea, adding forced induction to a car
bad idea, adding forced induction to a car ghetto style, voiding warrenty, and having it be your daily driver.
good idea, thinking
bad idea, thinking out loud (case in point <---myself)
Its up to you, imo i'd look into having a 'kit' put together for you, just slapping random parts on, doesn't always work out the best.
I think your rods are plenty strong enough, not sure on the pistons, if you want I can do some r&d into your motor...
good luck.

no by all means I wasn't poking fun!
Go research, last time I looked into it, I think there was a supercharger and tt kit availble for the 3g's?!? Go research, when I get time, I will as well and we'll compare notes.

The supercharger kit actually adds like 140 whp. The block will support 400+ HP, but you have to switch to 3s pistons to do that safely.

RIPPMODS Makes a supercharger kit that adds 100 hp safely. Elite did one on a GTS, and it sucks ass. Although he did have auto, it still only dyno'd at 235whp
DDP Makes a 16 G with Sidemount and Front Mount. Side mount kits run 3-5psi and add 80-100 whp, and the FMIC adds around 140 whp and runs 5-8 psi. The fmic kit usually requires piston and injector work... And it's a lot of cash...
Maybe I'll stick to the ways of the ricer and go Nos on your asses...
or not.

We did one of their first kits and it wasn't quite perfected back then. Now they come with bigger injectors and a working fuel controller. It made 253whp detonating. It probably would have made 275+ with the proper parts.

As one with a little experience selling cars. If you mod up your car to sell it, you'll lose money. If you mod it poorly, you'll never sell it.
If you want to sell your car, clean it up, make it fairly stock and research what others are selling for. Advertise it and lower the price accordingly if you don't get any interest after a few weeks. The biggest problem that I see with modded DSM's is that the owner thinks they're worth a whole load of money when they actually aren't. Unless a car has some really spectacular stuff on it, mods usually only hurt the value and narrow your target market.
If you want something fast, sell your car, even if you take a bit of a loss on it(which is very common when you buy new) and then get a turbo DSM.
