Timing adjustment

This is probably kind of a newb question but I was just wondering what line exactly are you supposed to line the dot up with on the crank pulley. The line that looks like a T or is it supposed to be in between the 5 and 10 * mark. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Timing adjustment

The correct basic ignition timing with no jumper wire is 8deg BTDC.
grounded should be 5 deg. look at http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html

Re: Timing adjustment

Thanks a lot. I looked at VFAQ for timing adjustment before but couldn't find it. Got it now. Thanks

Re: Timing adjustment

What should the logger be reading for timing? On pocketlogger it stays right about 10* + or- 1 or 2*. I'm still having major issues with my gs-t. I just can't get rid of this huge miss that it has. Thanks.
