making my own t3/t4?

I just got my turbo, and it's a newish, probably rebuilt, garrett t3 with the markings .50 on the compressor cover and 1.15 on the exhaust housing.

the exhaust is a split tangiental type and it looks like it will work well, but the compressor is hardly any bigger than my stock turbo. Is it possible to put a compressor and cover from a larger turbo on this turbo? I would think so, but I don't know what kind of things i need to know about the turbo like shaft size or center cartridge bolt patterns or something?

are all garrett centers the same for smallish turbos?

Re: making my own t3/t4?

You're going to spend more money trying to piece turbos together than just buying what you want from a reputable vendor. Don't buy some crap turbo off Ebay, just pony up the dough and do it right. Turbos are cheap these days.
