I'm in need of the front brake assembly for my '93 Talon. I'm looking for the bigger calipers off of the 94+ cars, but my question is if there's a difference between the FWD and AWD front brakes. DSM.org isn't working for me right now otherwise I'd look there. I found a complete set of front brakes from a '97 GST and just want to know if this is what I'm looking for.
Thanks.

Hey, I will trade you my big front calipers for your small ones if you give me some form of usable rotor as well. You would want to get new rotors, mine are pretty toasted but the calipers are fine. Let me know if you are interested.

Sure thing. I don't have calipers though, that's why I need them. There are quite a few 1g brake setups for sale on DSM Trader, so if you want I'll buy one of those and then trade you even up. PM me if you want to do this.
Just to finish off the topic, is there a difference between FWD and AWD front brakes?

I think the 1g awd front brakes are larger (dual piston and larger rotor, vs single piston?) not quite sure, good question!

The 92.5+ AWD's have the big brakes. All FWD's have the small brakes. Some galants and 3S's have the big brakes too. There used to be a really good VFAQ on it.

As quoted from vfaq.com:
Owners of all '89-92 DSMs and '93+ non-AWD models (including 2G) can upgrade to 'Big Brakes'. '91-92 Galant VR-4s and all '93+ AWD cars come with 'Big Brakes' from the factory.

You can also get them off of a 92+ Diamante and the non-turbo 3S's. Make sure you get the brackets, calipers and rotors.

If it was a late 92, maybe. Go look at them, it's simple to tell. If you've got "U" shaped recesses on your caliper, you've got the big brakes.

I have 2 sets of DSM small breaks and rotors. So if raptor is up for the trade, $20 for the two calipers and rotors.

Let myself or Mike know when we can get them from you. Mike and I already worked out a deal, just need to get the small ones so he can put them on his car.
