basic arp and permatorq

My goal for my build is only around 400-450, would a basic set of ARP's and a permatorq Hg hold up ok for this goal? I have a set of basic arps is why I ask, or should I sell or toss them and get L19's. I don't want to skimp on my build but would useing basics studs be skimping.

I'd say use them, people did before L19s just fine.

It is a hit or miss. To be safe I would get l19s but it is your call. I have never had a head gasket stay with the standard arp's in my old cars and once I switched to A1 studs I never had any issues.

Re: basic arp and permatorq

I would rather have L19's and a stock head gasket than a baller HG and regular arp's. Just me. Seems like the studs are what matters more.

Re: basic arp and permatorq

Yea Im leaning towards L19s any how due to im not in a rush and can wait. Plus im not sure of the future power of this thing so I would lean on the better safe than sorry side. Was just curious as to who is running the basics and how there holding up to higher boost and hp.
Thanks for the input fellas
