Arrow 2g gst caliper help

I'm trying to do my rotor replacement along with new brake pads but I'm having trouble taking off the calipers in the front. I took off that middle piece that holds the brake pads and those 2 pins. The know where the bolts that are holding the caliper are and I'm just having the time of my life trying to take those 2 bolts out. Any ideas on how to take it out for those of you whose done it before?

Also, I've done the whole breaker bar thing but there isn't a lot of room to work with down there. I followed that Chilton's book for our cars since it's my first time and I followed this link on autozone:

http://autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/090...rInfoPages.htm

Only difference is that I haven't removed the brake lines.

Re: 2g gst caliper help

I just did my rotors and pads and I had a hard time as well. Just put the breaker bar on it and hit it with a rubber mallet. You could try to torch em as well. I had a harder time getting the front rotors off. Good luck!

I can't really understand that, but if it says to try and tighten it to break away rust I would definitely NOT do that. PB blaster works wonders as well.

Tightening them a tiny bit can help break them loose.

If you jack the car up far enough there is plenty of room for a breaker bar.

Re: 2g gst caliper help

Thanks guys, I got it off by turning the steering wheel and using the breaker bar again and finally got it off. The rotors were kind of hard to get off but again, after a couple of times of screwing some bolts onto the rotors, the rotor just popped out with no problem. I guess I wont find out if I did the install correctly until something breaks right?
