Check Engine Light

My Check Engine Light comes on when I run over a bump, big or small, it varies everytime. Well this is how the light comes on, if I hit a bump and my car stutters very quickly, like during a push start, then the Engine Light comes on and my turbo timer dies and after a few seconds the Check Engine Light goes off. The stereo just skips, but doesnt die or restart so I cancelled a loose battery as a problem.
I could be on 61 near Keller Lake, you guys know how bumpy that road is, and my light would come on once or many times. I've checked everything visable in the engine bay for loose wires or anything, but found nothing loose. What would cause this?

Re: Check Engine Light

Why not find out what the CEL is for, it might guide you to the problem... Checker/Oreilys I think has free scanning.

Other wise, check for loose connectors or something.

Re: Check Engine Light

Not sure how the CEL check works, but does the light have to be on for them to check out what it is because the light doesnt stay on, it goes off shortly after it comes on.
