Best car classifieds on the net?

Do any of you have experience with different classifieds websites? I need to sell my Focus and am going to put it on somthig like AutoTrader, but am wondering if theres anything better out there. I know Auto trader gets a lot of traffic, but as a comsumer I hate using it because its search ability sucks.

I sold my bosses car on carsoup.com in a week without trying. I got $1600 more than he wanted for it too!

Autotrader is the shiznit and carsoup is great too, if you want it sold fast splurge for the high end package and Detail the hell out of your car and take some really good pictures. That stands way out from all the other ads. I used carsoup to sell my Eclipse but thats only because i got to use it for free (my mom works for carsoup.)

Re: Best car classifieds on the net?

I've purchased most my cars on CarSoup b/c as you said, the searchability on AutoTrader sucks. Plus, I think more stuff gets listed on CarSoup b/c it costs much less to the seller.

This is why I've done evertying on car soup as well. There a a few other "Carsoup" type site out there for MN and the midwest area, but I can't remember the names off the top of my head.

Re: Best car classifieds on the net?

I've used carsoups, cars.com, autotrader and craigslist to buy. I've sold in the paper (strib and pioneer), carsoup and craigslist. I don't recomend the paper at all. Both carsoup and craigslist worked well for me, but craigslist is free. I had similar responses from both.

Re: Best car classifieds on the net?

Thanks for the recomendations. I never thought of Craigs list. I have never used it, but I hear people talking about it alot. Being free is a big plus. I'll have to give it a shot.

I also bought my Talon off of Carsoup... And put up some cars on it too. Not a bad site to buy and sell.

Carsoup is the shizzle yo. I've sold 2 vehicles, and bought 3 from that site.

I use cars.com and carsoup.com. I have bought 1 car off carsoup. It is easy to use and the contact info is easy to find.
