Weird problem! car wont stay running. please help
So 2 weeks ago, my car died as I was driving (I was slowing down and about to take a right turn). Then it wouldn't start! So I got pulled home, and on the way I tried popping the clutch to start it, and it took a couple tries before it started, but it did start.. so then I got home and I shut it off and started it 2 more times.. Then I started it to go somewhere, and it ran for a few seconds and then died. and then it wouldn't start after that! then I let it sit for a while, and I tried to start it, and it started. but then it died. so I figured maybe it was the fuel pump. Got a stock one and put it in. but when I was tightening the bolt for the positive wire on the pump housing, it broke the stud.. so I rigged it by using jb weld. so that lasted a week, and then it came undone. but I picked up a walbro 255 that day. so yesterday, it died and did the same thing as I was slowing down to take a left turn.. (btw, I had drilled a hole where the stud was and put a screw in, so the connection is good) so I put the walbro in yesterday. then it started and I thought it was good.. I let it run for a bit to make sure it doesn't die, and it didn't. so then I went to go somewhere like an hour later, and it started, and then a couple seconds later, it died!
WTF could this be!?!
I am so lost as to what could cause this.. please help and let me know if you have any ideas as to what it could be..

When's the last time you changed your fuel filter? Have you checked all your grounds?

I dont remember how many miles ago it was.. but it was last year or the year before... so I guess since its only like 20 bucks, I could probably try a new one..
and yeah, grounds should be good

I would say try the fuel filter first. I'm assuming you have spark since it runs, but maybe one of your coil packs is going back? I'm no master tech, but I'll try to help out as much as I can! haha

Have you checked for boost leaks. Sounds to me like its that. Have had issues before where the pipe will be not fully disconnected, and under vacuum its fine, but then as soon as you get any kind of positive pressure it falls on its ass. Another thing to check is the MAF.

Don't just start throwing parts at it. Did you recirculate your bov, and do a boost leak test yet?

Re: Weird problem! car wont stay running. please help
I talked to Mike via text tonight. Apparently it's running just fine now, without any replaced parts. He said that it only does it on Friday's. Therefore, I concluded his car is possessed.

my vote is on an ignition part. coil pack is a good start. That sounds very much like almost every ignition problem i've ever encountered. my 2 cents.

Have you checked the fuses including the alternator fuse/battery under the hood? I think it's a 90 amp fuse. Beyond that it sounds like an ignition problem, like if you have a flaky resistor module or coil pack.

Re: Weird problem! car wont stay running. please help
I have driven my car every say since saturday, and it has ran fine and didn't die... but after it broke down on friday I didn't do anything to it, and then it magically worked on saturday... WTF would cause it to just not work one day, and magically work the next day!?

Re: Weird problem! car wont stay running. please help
check all the grounds and electrical connections in your engine bay and on your solenoid, might have some corrosion built up on them or not a good connection. had a similier problem in a old truck of mine. it would be fine one day but stop or turn hard it would loose connection on one of the grounds and not work. then it sat for a day moved back in place and be fine for a week. but could be many things though ignition or air leak. do some tests. even if its fine now. problem will pop up again. let us know what u find. or if it happens again.

yeah, and or the big seal on the bottom of the injectors, maybe while your driving the leaking fuel finds its way to the vacuum leak?
