Sick of it sitting

So i took the engine out a few years ago oiled it up and let it sit. spun it few times a year to just keep it "moving".
It was within spec for crank walk but was progressing, over last 25k miles. less than 60k miles on the clock. compression was 190-195 all across.

Need to see it moving again. Its a 1999, with zero rust.

I'm not going balls out goal is just 350ish and tune it DSMlink v3.

I would like to learn how to do the bearing swap, but i would also like to get it done right.

DB still does "maintenance" type of work? Or some of you guys that have built a number of engines want to shoot me a quote to do it (with me watching price)

Glad to hear man, beautiful car! You could try contacting Swanny as well, he seems to be doing a lot of work for guys these days.

Re: Sick of it sitting

Didnt know you still had the 2g! I would think numerous shops locally could fix it up for a reasonable price. DB, Map, RS.

Re: Sick of it sitting

The split bearing motors were a little more involved than 6-bolts, but not complicated. Some had different bearing sizes that were punched into the oil pan surface on the block, I believe that was just the 95-96 motors though. All the shops listed know this stuff.
