Re: Got Fuel?

AMS intake manifold.

No pictures, no videos, just some car. There are all kinds of high HP cars around that are owned by people who aren't on forums or goto meets.

The new billet PTE 67 seems to be good for around 150hp more than the old 67. Shaun's Supra made more power with with his billet 67 than it did with his old 72 GTS, and it spools faster.

I would take this car over an instanta spool turbo with super low end torque, this car is actually rediculously fast on the street with a good powerband out to 9100. It spools the same as my wife's SC61 on here 2.0l, but makes 230whp more peak and can rev a lot farther. I think it has some JUN or Toda cams that is killing the midrange power though. Back when this car had a 6262 on it, the stock 2.0l with normal HKS cams spooled it faster than the 2.3l with these big cams did.

Stock looking daily driven evo making that kind of power just isn't fair.

I <3 this car.

Nice work Shane.

Damn, wish my phone was working so I could have snagged a ride before it went back home. That billet 67 is fantastic!

Indeed, but just some car? C'mon. Just because they fail at the internet doesn't mean they have to be secretive Besides, secrets are lies. You put a 1.8CF on this plot, didn't you!

Who's ever car it is, they must drive it like a grandma as a DD, then go buckwild rarely. That, or its back in the shop regularly to replace the clutch, bearings, or something else! I know how these high-power cars work How many times a week does this 'DD' see more than 6000rpm? I'm not trying to rag, I just have a different definition of daily driving than some do.

Re: Got Fuel?

I am not being secretive, which is why I post the charts, since the owner probably never would. But yes, this car has been through twin discs, trannys, axles, transfer cases... Cars like these are not for the easily frustrated/discouraged or those with shallow pockets. A lot of people try to copy the setups they see on the internet and miss some critical facts that weren't posted or they just ignored that part and then they are disappointed when theirs doesn't measure up, because they tried to take some shortcuts with the setup or the posts on the interwebz weren't exactly 100% factual or only showed the successes.

If I had an Evo like this, I wouldn't beat on it everyday unless the boost was turned way down. It's just to dangerous. I can control myself though. During the summer with my wifes 500awhp 1G Talon, it sees 8000+ rpms almost everyday, but during the winter I can go 4 months without boosting it at all.

Re: Got Fuel?

Car went 10.4@145 first pass with 1.9 60', missing 3rd and 4th gear. He was told to leave after that pass.

I need more garage space for a car I'm not afraid to blow up.

Re: Got Fuel?

Holy crap. what's a 145 trap typically good for with a decent 60' and good shifts? 10.0? Any idea on what a semi-similar setup like that would put down on a DSM using Link instead of AEM?

Car sounds like a beast!

Re: Got Fuel?

That's awesome. And I think it's cool that there are a bunch of people out there who aren't computer/internet nerds, but still like fast cars. I know a few of them. It's hard to get people like that to come to meets though.

Re: Got Fuel?

Not sure if the owner is from the twin cities area or not, but one of the viper guys ran into him at the gas station next to BIR today. The viper guy used to be a dsmer and I told him about the car and running 2200s when I saw him last weekend. The viper guy must have asked a few questions about the car at the station and found out it was the same guy. The evo guy said he wasn't on this site but knew people were talking about his car on here. The guy said it had 8xx whp so it must be the same guy.
