Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
Nick are you requesting technical advice or opinions on this project? Or just posting it up to inform the site of your progress? This will let us know if this is in the right section or not. If you are not requesting technical advice on this project it can be move from tech to the parking lot or your SLS section.

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
On l "lighter" note (no pun intended) sweet project, that thing will be insane once its converted to AWD. How light to you think the car will be when its done and AWD? How much HP are you looking to get out of it?

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
Well I am guessing there will be alot of questions and stuff on it so it works good here in the General/Advanced Tech.
Nice project Nick!

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
No idea what overall weight will be. My other 2 hatches weigh in between 1980 and 2140. My gold one is full weight w/ a full stereo(2 subs, 2 amps, components, cd player, etc..) and weighs 2140. This motor should probably add a few hundred pounds but there isn't going to bhe any interior. I guess i'll shoot for around 2000 fwd and probably 2200 awd. I really have no idea, just guessing on weight.

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
Goal is running and driving for now. Once all that is worked out and its functioning then i will begin on it making power. Just gonna be a basic setup nothing extravigant. 400-500whp.

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
The ONLY honda I would drive would be a 4G63 Turbo AWD civic. Can't wait to see this done.

With the low weight thats all the power that car will need to be into the tens as long as you can get stuff not to break. But the weight will also help in that department as well.

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
400whp should propel it into the 10's w/o to many problems.
I have another hatch w/ a D16 SOHC that w/ a blown HG and a shitty 2.0 60' ran a 12.5 w/ @ the time probably 200-210whp. Now its running a AFC tuned way better making 240whp on 10 psi should eaily pull low 12's as it sits. That one weighs in @ 1980-2000.

Re: 4G63 Civic Hatch
I've seen a lot of 4G63 attempts, but so far all of them ended up being Scratched cause it ended up going to cost to much for the owner. Most of the time you have to fab up Axles, Drive Shafts, and what not... so these custom parts get expensive. Unless you are able to build your own.
