Coolant Temp Sensor Question???

I went to go and get a new coolant temp sensor for my 95 talon fwd and absolutely everywhere I went had the wrong one or was not what I needed. I tryed all different years and different sensors and came up with nothing. The only place I have not made it to yet is the mitsu dealer yet. Ill go there tomorrow but I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this?

It's pretty much a dealer only part. You'd be wasting your time at Pep Boyz.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Question???

Correction, due to working at Pep Boys in CR i know they have a 1g eclipse temp sensor(or did 2 weeks ago) and the temp sensor for the 1.8 is the same as the 2.0's in 1g's and if you did the 1g swap... that gives you more options.

Try looking into a 1.8, i've got one in my car. No issues or problems as of yet.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Question???

No i need a 2g temp sensor. I picked one up from mitsu that is the right one but they charged 55 for it. Let me know if anyone has one of these that they will give away or sell for cheap because I cant afford all these little parts that add up like that. It is a 1g swap so the harness is a 2g so the temp sensor needs to be a 2g.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Question???

Which temp sensor is it? There's three on the 1G's at least, fan turn on and off, temp gauge and ECU input.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Question???

It is the one for the 2g that sends the signal to the ecu. It is kind of a rectangle plug with rounded edges and it has 2 prongs in the middle.
