Pressure plate/flywheel gap

Hey guys, just wanted to verify something before I put the tranny on tonight. I have read that there should be no gap where the pp bolts to the flywheel. I torqued all the bolts to 14 ft/lbs in a star pattern and yet I still have a slight gap.

I have read that if the pp isn't fully seated against the flywheel, you will not get an accurate torque measurement because you're fighting the actual sprung tension of the pressure plate. I didn't have a chance to work on it last night but as of now, this is how it sits with all bolts torqued to 14 ft/lbs:

I don't want to torque the bolts too tight considering they're already torqued to spec. I just want to do it right so I can make it to the cookout!
