Re: Al Blaha 1G mass modification?
What do you have to tune with? What size is your turbo? And what size are your injectors? There are a few ways to do an "Al Blaha" style MAS, and it helps to know exactly what you are working with or towards.

Or you could get rid of the factory 1G MAS, and either wire in a 2g, get a GM maf, or go to a speed density system.

Re: Al Blaha 1G mass modification?
Chuck your MAS and throw the AIT and airflow sensor in a one-gallon coffee can with the bottom cut out. Run some 4" dryer ducting from that to the turbo and seal it all up with duct tape, you're good to go.

If you plan to use that turbo to potential the 1G and even 2G MAS are not for you.

Re: Al Blaha 1G mass modification?
A Blaha MAS flows slightly more than a 2G MAS and roughly the same as a 3" GM MAF in draw-through setup. I ran a Blaha for many years and it was very easy to tune with.

I second Steve's idea. That will totally get you the Home-Depot award at the DSM shootout!

Re: Al Blaha 1G mass modification?
Depending on budget, I'd far recommend the VPC as well. For less than $500, it just can't be beat. If you've got the scratch and don't mind memorizing a 180 page manual, the AEM EMS is the way to go. MAS's are a pain in the ass.

Re: Al Blaha 1G mass modification?
I really like the AEM EMS but the price is a little high for my budget right now. I am just trying to get my car into the 12 sec range.

Blaha, 2G MAS, or GM-MAF will all suit your needs just fine. I say so the Blaha since its the cheapest route.
