A/t Question About Torque Converters

What's the most streetable high-stall converter? What sites carry them?

I haven't started researching them myself, but am looking for input from anyone who can help me.

How big of a turbo are you going to run? You could run a 4000RPM stall if you really wanted and the car would still be streetable. It would take more gas to get it going and you might be cruising at a higher rpm. If your going to run a T25 then you probably want one with a 3000RPM or less stall.

Precision Industries sells some for DSMs.

So basically, the higher the stall, the more streetable. The lower the stall (like a 2500) is more for racing application only. Do I have that right?

What is the stock replacement?

It's the other way around, the looser (higher stall speed) you make it, the less streetable it becomes. Talk with the people who make them, I'm sure they can tell you how much slip will still be present at cruise speeds. There are ways to make it loose on take-off and then tighten up as speed increases.
