Re: WTB: 14"+ electric fan
I have a 14" uber fan. It's a Hayden 3814. 1710 CFM through a radiator, 2 speeds. (most other CFM ratings you see will be free air, no restrictions) I looked high and low for a fan that wasn't just another cheap fan using a cheap motor. This one is what I found, and moves a lot more air than any of the cheap ones you can buy. This one runs $150 new, a little spendy but, it is a high power fan.
It will draw up to 23 Amps. Compare that to a lot of other 14" fans that run about 10 amps. You might think a lower power input is better, but what a low power input means is a lower amount of work done(in this case air moved).
If you want a cheap but effective fan buy John's. If you want a 14" fan that will perform closer to one of the big (high power) stock fans, consider this one. I don't mean to bad mouth other fans, (like the one John has) I just want to point out that this one costs more for a reason. It moves a lot of air for the space it takes up. Adding this fan was the difference between my Stealth running a high temp in 3 highway pulls v.s. 10-15 minutes on a road course.
Asking $100 OBO.
