That 3rd article is a bit off. First they make the jackass mistake of calling 14.7 = 1 bar, then they make it sound like the main reason why boosted cars make more power than NA is because of the "effective" compression. Which isn't true, it is also from the extra airflow created by the turbo/supercharger. We all know that 18psi out of a monster turbo is going to make more power than 18psi out of a T25. One might flow 700cfms vs 275cfms of air at the same boost level or "effective" compression ratio.
