Question 2G side marker light HELP

Ok you guys, i really need this side marker on and not fall off. I believe 2G Eclipse have this dumb problem where they dont have screws on the bumper that supports the side marker light. Anyways so it dont CLICK. Everytime i put them on, it falls off hanging out in the bumper. A car wash it falls off, if i downshift down the freeway it falls off, anyways you guys get the theory. It clicks and is on but a tap from under the front bumper it falls off. Is there a way to make these side markers on the DSM sit tightly?? Im in need of help and i dont want to order a BRAND new Front bumper just because of my side marker lights are falling off. I also check the sides where it clicks and they show little wear but it should click.. give me some thoughts and advises if you had this problems. (i also see alot of 2G eclipse dont have their driver side marker lights)

Re: 2G side marker light HELP

mmmmmm, just curious cause if the bulb goes out and i need to change it, i think it will be hard to strip the tape off and prob might do some damage. Is there any other fittings or molding i can do?

Re: 2G side marker light HELP

Which side is falling out? The side with the bendy metal clip or the other side?
If it's the clip side try bending the clip out to give it more tension in the bumper. If it's the other side I don't know what to do, double sided foam tape like suggested?

Perhaps you could use velcro?

I don't think you will need much to hold it in... Perhaps velcro would work good as mentioned above. That way you still can remove later if needed.

Re: 2G side marker light HELP

My wiring to the light doesnt work. I havent used those side marker lights in a year. i think the water got into it. Well, i went with the 3GM sided tape. Thanks for some tips, i'd keep them in mind as a back up as well. See you guys all in the streets!

Just stick it in the bumper, get under the car, reach up, and zip tie it in.

Re: 2G side marker light HELP

That problem happend to me too and all that I did was take a razor blade and trimmed the part opposite the side with the clip... Its hard to explain in typing but there is two plastic things that stick up right next to the plastic peace that holds it in place. Just trim those two little peace's and it will stay in better, but dont do it too far or that part will stick in farther then the other side.
