3s mas in a 1g help
Has anyone ever used the 3s mas in thier 1g before? I had an earlier post about putting in the 3s mas in a 1g. I still didnt get any luck with the mas working. I checked my wires a dozen times already and I am 100% sure they are right. I then thought it was the mas that wasnt working, so I swapped the mas of off my brothers 3s and tried it on mines. It still didnt work, I had the same CEL as I did before. So then I put my 1g mas back on, and it worked like normal. Everyone says that the 3s mas is the same as the 2g dsm's, but it doesnt seem to be working in my car.
Any hints or help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
I have never heard of using a 3S MAS on a 1G, only 2G MASs. Is a 3S MAS the same part # as a 2G MAS?

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
Yea, I wired everything correctly. I know for sure that it is the 3s mas that doesnt work. I have been doing some searching and have found that there hasnt been anyone that used a 3s mas before. I have also found that the part numbers are different. Correct me if I am wrong, but there are people that says the 3s mas will flow more than a 2g mas. If, supposedly, the 3s mas works and flows better, then there would be a lot of people using the 3s mas instead of the 2g. The only conclusion that I have come to is that the 3s mas doesnt work on a 1g, that is why no one uses the 3s mas on a 1g. I am going to go pick up a 2g mas today and I will be back on here to post what happened.

In all my days of internet whoring, I have never read a statement like that. Not to start a flame war, but who told you a 3S MAS would work on your car?

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
I bought the 3s mas from Josh at LSE Performance and they had told me themself, over pm and in person, that a 3s mas will work in my 1g. I just picked up a 2g mas an hour ago. Im putting it on right now. I'll get back on here once I'm done.

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
It's "common knowledge" that the 3S MAS is the same as the 2G. I guess that is wrong. You should still be able to get it to work.

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
Just ran the part number, they are different part numbers. I know I've switched them around in applications, but they are different part numbers so maybe its not a "100%" item that you can switch in ALL applications.
Just bring the mas back and I'll give you the $45 back.
I know my mas out of my stealth is in a 2g right now ::shrugs::

He maybe confused with "count" instead of "flow". This web page eludes that the 3S MAS can "read" (before it starts flaking out) higher then a 2G, and I know I've read that the Evo reads higher then a 2G as well.

Re: 3s mas in a 1g help
Ok. I got the 2g mas in my car. Works like a wonder! So now we all know that 3s mas doesnt work for 1g's.

Fucking search and don't whore up another persons thread. There are a million discussions on this topic all over the net. While your at it start using the shift key and typing so we can alteast understand what the hell you are talking about.
If you are in 2nd grade and are thinking about putting a GM MAF and Translator on your big wheel I will excuse you. Otherwise shape it up.
