SAFC II/ECU Problems

I have a 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo. We just got done installing 550cc injectors, 255 hp Fuel pump, and rewired it. We wired the SAFC II and hooked it up and it doesn't read anything. We checked the wires 5 or more times and they all look right. We took the SAFC II off and hooked it up to my friends who already has one on his car and it works.

An ideas? Could it be the ECU? Ask me any questions

Thanks

Re: SAFC II/ECU Problems

90's do use slightly different ECU's than 91-94. I believe only 2 wires are different which may be your problem. Hopefully LightningGSX jumps in with specifics.

The person helping me is Kyle and he also has a 90 Talon and he hooked it up the same as his car. Unless it could be something with mine being FWD and his AWD, but I doubt it.

Re: SAFC II/ECU Problems

AWD/FWD use the same ECU wiring so that won't be your problem. Have you tried swapping his ECU into your car? Might be worth a shot since its not too time consuming to do.

Re: SAFC II/ECU Problems

You are not getting any display at all? All you need to get right is the power and ground(s) for it to atleast light up. The cables sometimes come loose inside the AFC unit itself also, make sure that isn't happening.
