My employee was driving this car while his work van was in the shop for a month - and despite my pleas to have him check the oil and top off at every fill - he didn't. I am presuming it threw a rod.
This GSX is factory except for upgraded rims and a racing transmission put in at 170k miles (I have never raced - but the cost of a normal versus upgraded transmission was only a few hundred so I opted for an upgraded tranny). I don't recall the manufacturer of the tranny but I purchased it from a firm in Chicago.
221k on chassis. There is minimal rust on the body but there is typical severe strut tower rust and some slight rust in the parts under the now detached body kit parts. Also the floorboard on the drivers side is rusted through and will need new metal welded in (I used a heavy duty floor mat to keep rain and snow out of the cabin).
The passenger airbag cover is badly sun-warped and the passenger mirror hit a mailbox and needs a new one.

I recently replaced the passenger rear axle shaft (which was rust-welded to the failing bearings) and have a spare LSD rear end (less the one axle shaft) that I'll sell for $250 with or without the car.
Part of the factory body kit has come off on both passenger and drivers side - but I have the parts.
The car ran great until it was ran out of oil. I recently put in new rear brakes.
I have two sets of tires - snow tires (currently mounted) and Eagle GT's for summer.
The car is in Albert Lea and will need to be flat bed towed or trailered.
