Pocketlogger Problem

Anyone have issues with their palm resetting after every battery change? I've got an m105 and every time the batteries die and I put in new ones it asks me to go through the whole setup bullshit and I lose all my data and have to reload DSMLogger! I don't see one of those small memory batteries, unless it's hidden....Maybe the palm is bad???

I just got on the Pocketlogger forums and found a post where someone said there are capacitors in the Palm that can go bad causing memory failure... Not too sure how likely this is, kind of sounds like a certain ecu problem!

on the 100's and 105's you have like 2 mintues to change the batterys when there dead or boom goes all your memory...or at least thats the way it was with mine.
its a bitch when your away from your computer trying to tune a car and your logger program gets deleted.

Yeah, I've had that problem with my M100. I only wish I had the two mins to change the batteries. Mines losses all it's memory right when one of the batteries come off.

It seems to be a fairly common problem... there's quite a few on ebay with the same issue.

Has anyone taken theirs apart to check for a backup battery? Looks like all you'll need to take it apart is a tiny hex-wrench. I would always replace my batteries one at a time as quickly as possible and never had a problem.

That's what I was wondering... if there's a small round battery behind the originals, it's possible that went dead which is used to retain the info.

I dont think I'll need a hex-wrench. Mines feels likes its already going to fall apart at any time, thats why I keep it in a leather casing...haha.

Just like the one guy said. Just kinda gotta know when your batteries are about done. Then you got a couple minutes to quick change em out with some new ones.
