ok wtf?

Alright 95 tsi awd.

JUST REPLACED 2 DAYS AGO!!!
new turbo, new fmic, maft setup, new walbro 255 pump, new aeromotive afpr, new pte 680cc injectors, new crank sensor, new timing belt, new water pump, new thermostat, flushed radiator, crank walk tested(and its fine), compression tested (its fine).

Other mods, turbo xs mbc, ghetto test pipe with stock exhaust and a muffler, And thats all I can think of that would affect this problem..

SO.. my car sputters.. Since I bought it.. The other day it sputtered and then backfired a lot then boom! it blew up and I got a new crank sensor and all that crap. So today I got my car back.. And I go to boost and I hit 10psi and it sputters then takes off again.. WTF?!?!

Is this is aboost leak? If so it can only be the intake manifold right? Thats all thats after the maft...

Or is it my exhaust not functioning correctly? Hole in it? I DUNNO!?!?

Any input? Cause this honestly has been my only goal to fix this damn sputtering and its still here thousands of dollars later...

Re: ok wtf?

I don't know exactly, but have you checked the spark plugs and the their gap? Do you need wires? (if they are old or really cheap ones you might need to replace). Keep it simple, then work your way up.

If you're so worried about boost leaks, make yourself a tester. Very easy and cheap to make, I'm sure there are instructions online somewhere. Try Vfaqs!

What are you using to control the injectors? the MAFT? Is it setup right?

Re: ok wtf?

Could be a ton of things man, try to provide more info. Does this happen all the time? And what happens when sputters? Do you have a decent tune on the car? If so, what A/F ratios are you seeing during these periods?

Even though you have a MAF-T in blow-through, you could still have a ton of leaks (trust me, I know from experience):
-TB Elbow
-TB to Manifold
-Manifold to Head
-Any of the injector seals
-Any of the vacuum lines coming off of the intake manifold.

Do a boost leak test & then do it again. Once you've completely eliminated it from the equation, just do it again, trust me.

Re: ok wtf?

Like we've all stated about 100 times, get some new NGK BPR7ES plugs and make sure to gap them correctly at .030" and get some new quality wires. NGK, Bosch, Accel, Taylor, etc. all make nice wires. Also, do a boost-leak check. If you don't know how bring your car to a local performance shop and throw $$$ at them. You've spent all this time and money replacing the complicated shit when you should have been doing the cheap and simple stuff from the beginning like we've all recomended. Why ask questions if you disregard the answers?

That is my favorite answer! When in doubt, I let people who actually know what they are doing fix what I thought I fixed. Good Luck!

Re: ok wtf?

Probablly have it fixed by now, but my car would boost fine 2 like 3000-3500rpms bost gauge would sputter then all the sudden boost would kick back on it ended up being my spark plug wires....
